Where we stand

Tools like ours can be used well or badly. Rather than leave that unsaid, here is what EliteWorks is built for, what we will not do, and where responsibility sits when you use it.

The work stays yours

Everything we build assumes you are the author. You bring the text, the research question or the draft; the tools help you check it, sharpen it and finish it. We are not a writing service: we do not write work to order, and we do not produce material meant to be passed off as someone else's.

We oppose misrepresenting authorship

We do not support using our tools to present AI-generated or someone else's text as your own where that is not allowed — at work, in publishing or in education — or to get around an organisation's integrity or review controls. Accounts used for that may be suspended or closed. EliteWorks is for adults: you must be at least 18 to hold an account.

Automated checks can be wrong

AI detection is probabilistic, and it misjudges honest writing — particularly from non-native English speakers and from anyone whose prose is formulaic by necessity. We report our own results as indicative estimates rather than verdicts, and we say plainly that no tool, ours included, can promise what a third-party system will conclude.

Your documents are yours

What you upload stays private to your account. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, never train our models on it, and never add it to a similarity database. We do not send your reports to anyone. Remove them from your dashboard whenever you want, or ask us to erase them for good. The comparison itself is performed by a licensed third-party analysis service — that is how the check works, and we say so rather than implying we built the index ourselves.

Where responsibility sits

You are responsible for following the rules of your employer, client, publisher or institution, and for declaring the use of AI drafting or editing tools where they require it. We cannot know those rules for you, and we do not pretend to.

This page summarises our position. The binding version is the Acceptable Use & Integrity Policy, alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy.
